TARRAGON GROW GUIDE
How to Grow & Harvest Tarragon |
When to Plant Tarragon needs a dry and warm environment to grow, day and night. You can start them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost for your area and then transplant the seedlings outdoors when the weather warms up. How to Plant Once established, the plants will grow well with little to no attention. You can fertilize, but it's really only necessary in very poor soil. Allow the soil to dry in-between waterings. Remember that tarragon will flourish and do best if the soil is slightly dry.
When to Harvest You may harvest both the leaves and flowers from the tarragon plant. Store them in a dry, and cool area. You may also freeze or dry the leaves for later use. |
